A salvage title is when the insurance co. totals your car and someone fixes the damage and retitles the car. Most people shy away from cars with salvaged title's because they don't have the same resale value as a clean car. Also, in most cases you don't know if the car has been fixed properly, "buyer beware". My car is a salvaged titled car, but I watched them fix it,and I was sure it was done right. I have had it for 5 years now, and have'nt had any major issues, except for fixing the clutch. Of course, I won't ever get any money out of reselling it, but at least it was a way to afford the toy in the first place. I would'nt even have a Z if I had to pay retail. In Mn. many people have four wheel drive trucks because of the snow factor, also, a guy has to have a boat for summer; a cabin by the lake, snowmobile, etc.etc. Then, if you have kids they need money for college, books, board, tuition, car insurance etc. Then if your my age, a guy has to think about putting money away for retirement, so all things considered, a salvage titled Z was right for me.=)
Only those who risk going too far can possibly know how far one can go. [T.S. Eliot] Tell that to the officer. |
